Kanal gives you two places to follow the health of your WhatsApp account: the account status box at the bottom of the side menu, and the Account updates page in Settings.
The account status box
At the bottom left of your interface, a box sums up the status of your number. Its content changes depending on your account's situation.
Under normal conditions
Messages X / Y: X is the number of messages counted over the last 24 hours, Y is your current messaging limit set by Meta. Check this counter before launching a campaign to see how much you can send.
Number quality: high, medium, low or unknown. It reflects how your recipients react to your messages. The value shown in Kanal is refreshed every 3 hours, so it may lag slightly behind Meta's. The link in the box opens our article on quality.
Marketing templates paused
When Meta reports a violation on your account, Kanal pauses the sending of your marketing templates and any campaigns currently being sent. The box then shows that marketing templates are paused.
Your utility templates (order confirmations, shipping updates) can still be sent during the pause.
The unlock is automatic, at the earliest 12 hours after the pause started, if your number's quality is high or medium and your account is not restricted. The box then shows the scheduled time of the automatic unlock.
If the quality is too low, the box tells you that quality must improve before the unlock. Reduce your marketing sends and keep your utility flows running: the unlock will happen automatically once quality is back up.
Account violation
If Meta restricts your account, the box turns orange and shows Account violation instead of the counter and the quality. Kanal then blocks all sends and pauses your campaigns.
Click Contact support in the box. Our team handles the review request with Meta: do not submit it yourself.
The Account updates page
To find the history of Meta events on your account, click your team name to open the workspace menu, then Settings, and open Account updates.
This page lists the events sent by Meta, including:
violations and restrictions applied to your account;
the result of your Business Manager verification;
the activation of MM Lite (Marketing Messages API for WhatsApp).
Check it when the box changes status, or before contacting support: it helps you understand what happened on your account.
