Has your WhatsApp account been blocked by Meta? Do not panic. This article explains how to identify the reason for the block and what to do next.
When your WhatsApp account is blocked, an orange widget appears at the bottom left of your Kanal interface to alert you. It shows the title "ACCOUNT VIOLATION", along with a message stating that Meta has restricted the account, that the Kanal team has been notified and is working on a resolution, plus a "Contact support" link. This is the first signal that your account's messaging features have been restricted.
Meta can block an account for several reasons (spam or objectionable messages, non-compliance with the WhatsApp messaging policy, violation of the terms of service or commerce policy, etc.). Depending on the reason and severity, the block takes one of two forms:
Temporary block (30 days): the account is restricted for a limited time. A review request may lead to an early unblock.
Permanent block: the account is banned permanently. A review request is still possible, but the chances of success are low.
In both cases the process is the same: identify the reason and the duration by following the steps below, then send us that information. We take care of the rest.
To identify the reason and type of block, check your account directly in the Meta interface:
In Kanal, go to Settings > WhatsApp Profile.

Click the "Go to Meta" button. You will be redirected to the Meta interface of your WABA (WhatsApp Business Account).
At the top of the interface, a red "Account restricted" banner is displayed.

Click "See details in Business Support Home" to access the details.
On the Business Support Home page, you will see the exact reason for the block (for example "Sending spam" / objectionable messages, or a terms of service violation) along with the duration of the restriction. This is where you will find out whether the ban is temporary (30 days) or permanent.

Contact our team through the support chat and tell us the reason shown and the duration of the restriction. A screenshot of the Business Support Home page saves us time.
We then write and submit the review request to Meta, with the argument tailored to the reason for your block.
Meta usually replies within 24 to 48 hours. We keep you informed of the decision.
Review approved: the account is unblocked and you can use WhatsApp normally again.
Review denied on a temporary block: Meta confirms the violation. The account stays blocked for 30 days, after which it unblocks automatically. You will need to wait it out.
Review denied on a permanent block: the account stays banned. In the vast majority of cases, a permanently banned account stays banned. We do everything we can, but the final decision rests with Meta.
Throughout the block, we remain available to review the campaigns and automations behind the report, so the situation does not happen again.
