Tracking performance metrics is essential to measure the effectiveness of your communications and optimize your return on investment (ROI). Kanal gives you two complementary interfaces to analyze your campaign data: the home page for a global view and the campaign detail for a deeper analysis.
The Home page, at the very top of your left sidebar, is your main dashboard. It gathers the list of your latest campaigns and displays the key performance indicators (KPIs) at a glance.
On this page, you can check for each campaign:
The send date: To place your activity peaks in time.
The number of sends: The total volume of messages sent to your customers.
The open rate: The percentage of customers who opened your WhatsApp message.
The total amount generated: The revenue directly attributed to the campaign thanks to the Shopify sync.
The ROAS (Return On Ad Spend): This metric calculates the profitability of your campaign by comparing the revenue generated against the cost of the messages sent.
This view is ideal for quickly comparing the effectiveness of your different marketing operations against each other.
To get more granular information and access data management tools, go to the Campaign section in the left sidebar, then click the specific campaign you want to study.
Once inside a delivered campaign, several pieces of information and advanced features are available:
You can find the exact WhatsApp template that was used for the send. This lets you correlate performance (clicks, sales) with the specific visual or text content of the campaign.
Beyond the number of successful sends, this section lets you track delivery errors precisely. You will find the number of messages that could not be sent. These failures can be tied to invalid phone numbers or contacts who already opted out.
For users who want to run external analyses or cross-reference the data with other reporting tools, an export button is available. It lets you retrieve all the campaign data in a usable format.
Analyzing these metrics lets you adjust your strategy over time:
A low open rate can indicate that the message hook or the send time needs to be reworked.
A high ROAS on a specific product type tells you which customer segment responds best to your WhatsApp offers.
Tracking unsent messages helps you keep a healthy database by identifying outdated numbers.
By checking these two interfaces regularly, you keep full control over Kanal's impact on your store's growth.
