# Get a dedicated WhatsApp number with Kanal

No free number for WhatsApp? During onboarding, choose a dedicated French landline number for €8 excl. VAT per month, already verified with Meta.

To use WhatsApp with Kanal, you need a number that is not linked to any existing WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business account. If you do not have one, Kanal can provide a dedicated number directly during onboarding.

## Two options at the "Your WhatsApp number" step

This step comes right before you connect your Meta account. You choose between:

-   **Your own number**: it must be free, meaning not used on the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. You will then verify it with Meta using a code received by SMS or call.
    
-   **A dedicated French landline number**: provided by Kanal, for €8 excl. VAT per month. It is the simplest option if your number is already used on WhatsApp.
    

## Choose a dedicated number

1.  At the "Your WhatsApp number" step, choose the dedicated number option.
    
2.  Select your number among the 3 offered.
    
3.  Pay the subscription by card on the secure payment page (Stripe).
    
4.  Connect your Meta account. In the Meta window, select your number in one click: it is already verified with Meta, so there is no SMS or call code to receive.
    

At the billing step, the card saved for the number is reused: you activate your WhatsApp credits in one click, without entering your card again.

## Price and commitment

-   **€8 excl. VAT per month**, on top of your Kanal subscription and your message credits.
    
-   **No commitment**: the number is billed as long as you are a Kanal customer.
    

> **Info:** No number available? A "back soon" message appears with a button to notify our support. Click it: our team assigns you a number manually.
