If you keep Kanal open all day to answer your customers, you can turn on an alert for every new incoming message. No need to keep an eye on the Inbox to make sure no customer is left waiting for a reply.
What the notification does
A sound plays for every incoming message, on any page of Kanal.
A Chrome notification appears when the Kanal tab is in the background, showing the contact's name and a preview of the message.
Clicking the notification opens the conversation directly.
Turn on notifications
Open the Inbox.
At the top of the page, click the bell icon next to Messages.
If your browser asks for permission to show notifications, allow it to receive alerts when the tab is in the background.
To turn notifications off, click the bell again.
Notifications are off by default and the setting is saved per browser. Each team member decides whether to turn them on, and you need to turn them on again if you use Kanal in another browser or on another computer.
